POST COVID-19 RECOVERY QUESTIONNAIRE
COVID-19: LONG-TERM EFFECTS – MAYO CLINIC
“COVID-19 symptoms can sometimes persist for months. The virus can damage the lungs, heart and brain, which increases the risk of long-term health problems.
“Most people who have coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) recover completely within a few weeks. But some people – even those who had mild versions of the disease – continue to experience symptoms after their initial recovery.
“These people sometimes describe themselves as ‘long haulers’ and the conditions have been called post-COVID-19 syndrome or ‘long COVID-19’. These health issues are sometimes called post-COVID-19 conditions. They’re generally considered to be effects of COVID-19 that persist for more than four weeks after you’ve been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus.
“Older people and people with many serious medical conditions are the most likely to experience lingering COVID-19 symptoms, but even young, otherwise healthy people can feel unwell for weeks to months after infection.”

POST COVID CARE – GUIDELINES FOR CARE CENTERS
If you previously had Covid-19 and now experience long-haulers (post covid) symptoms we are HERE to help. We will make recommendations for your care with state-of-the-art Post Covid Recovery programs which can offer hope to the so called “long-haul” Covid patients. While fatigue is the most common symptom, long haulers may also have chest pain, cognitive changes, lightheadedness, skin issues and multiple other conditions.
Mental Health can be an issue too, which can involve physical, mental, and emotional symptoms such as depression, memory issues, and post-traumatic stress disorder from the experience. It is hard to pin point exactly how many post covid patients will have lingering symptoms, as experts aren’t able to predict who will have post covid symptoms “it is a very sobering thought that many are still struggling 6 to 8 months later when their initial infection was relatively mild, (like a bad flu)” yet now, these patients can be incredibly debilitating with severe fatigue, post exercise malaise, dizziness, difficulty in focusing, mental fog etc. Because Covid “long haul” conditions is so new, health care providers are writing the script, as they go, for how to best treat people who have it. They often treat according to disease & symptoms known to treat for COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), and other heart issues, concussion clinics and transplant patients.
